Royal Highland Regiment – The Black Watch and Other Pipe and Drum Tunes

On November 16, 1956, the bagpipe and drum band of the Royal Highland Regiment of Canada and the US Second Army Pipe and Drum Corps performed at the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Saint Andrew Society of the State of New York. This live recording opens with the US Second Army band playing a medley of American and military songs. The Royal Highland Regiment band plays music associated with the Scottish Black Watch Regiment as well as medleys of Scottish and military music. Liner notes include photographs from the festival and a brief history of the Royal Highland Regiment of Canada.
